The Roar WCCP 105.5 has a rare opening for a strong sales leader.  Primary duties of this person will be sales focused, working with local businesses with marketing solutions in the Upstate.

 

Our ideal candidate will be goal oriented, is a relentless hunter, driving to win new businesses, while growing an existing account base.

Requirements:

 

* Bachelors degree strongly preferred with 2 years of sales experience in sales, sales     marketing, advertising, or account management .

* Strong understanding of local market- Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Clemson area.

*  Demonstrated record of success in a fast paced, goal-oriented environment. and has a track record of exceeding monthly goals.

2019  The ROAR Internship Application

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Observe one or more of our radio shows per day, sitting in the studio and assisting the hosts and producer with various tasks
  • Help run the producer’s board during daily shows as well as on weekends for seasonal programming (Tiger Pregame Show, Clemson athletic events etc.)
  • Assist with other production tasks at the station, including recording and cutting commercials
  • Work on-site at different station remote shows, assisting with set up, tear down and execution
  • Develop different ideas for the station’s social media platforms and help post content to our accounts
  • Learn about all the different aspects of the radio business, from the on-air side to production and everything else in between

 

Qualifications:

  • Genuine interest in athletics and the radio industry
  • Full-time college student
  • Maintain 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Excellent oral communication and public speaking skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
